"Voile" in French refers to a veil, which means a seen-through and thin fabric. We use the yarn made out of 50% LINEN and 50% RAMIE. As a result, this fabric has firmness and elasticity. However, the more you use it, the softer and smoother it becomes, which is typical of linen. On a seen-through ecru background, the brown yarn cross at right angles. The color scheme comes across as subdued. 生成地と白地にそれぞれさりげなく細めのチェックが配されている。

サイズは、長さ90cm×幅36cm。

ちょうど手ぬぐいのようなサイズ感をしています。

長い面はワイングラスや大きいプレートを拭くのに便利、

普段は2つに折り畳んで使うのがおすすめです。


リネンにはコットンの4倍もの吸水性があるといわれています。

また、速乾性にも優れています。


ボイルチェックのような織りの粗い生地なら風通しのよいところで、

すぐに乾くので、匂いの原因やカビの繁殖が軽減されます。

ボイルチェックはスタジオ エムの中で一番打ち込みの少ない生地で、

最もディッシュクロス向きの生地と言えるでしょう！


最初はパリっとした生地感ですが、洗濯を繰り返すうちにどんどん表情や、

触り心地が柔らかくしなやかに変化していくのも、リネンの特徴です。


ちなみにこのディッシュクロス、裏側の中央部分の端にループ状にタグが縫い付けてあります。

写真のようにループをエプロンの腰紐に通してしまえば、

手拭きとして常時使えますし、

クロスに長さがあるので箸や調理道具を軽く拭くような時にも重宝します。


個人的には暑い夏場、首にかけて使おうかとも思っています、、、

使いこんで古くなってきたら台拭きとして、最後には床拭きとして、、、

リネンは天然繊維の中でも大変丈夫な生地です。
