Next year is the Year of the Horse in the Japanese zodiac.
In Japan, the zodiac is a traditional cycle of twelve animals, and items featuring the animal of the coming year are often enjoyed as symbols of good luck and new beginnings.

To celebrate this, we are pleased to introduce the “Trot Lien” plate from our Zodiac Series, released again this year.

On the Lien side plate, a horse carrying a farmer is depicted walking lightly forward.
The motif is applied using a hand-pressed stamp technique, giving each piece a warm, slightly varied expression.

To enhance the illustration, we chose a transparent glaze that allows the natural character of the clay to show through.
You can see subtle iron spots and feel a softly textured surface, conveying the gentle warmth of natural materials.

The Lien side plate features a mokko shape, a form traditionally used in Japanese family crests and patterns.
It was designed with the idea of making side plates not just a supporting element, but the centerpiece of the table.

For the year-end and New Year season, bring a touch of good fortune to your table.
