    • Color Shade Variations

    Each piece has individual color shade variations. Affected by glazes and natural firing conditions such as changes in temperature, humidity and other climate elements and also how to receive the fire in the kiln chamber, each piece has own expression. It is really difficult to make the completed ware exactly same in color by firing and glazing even when the same materials are used. 100 pieces show 100 kinds of expressions, as it were.

    There are color irregularities of applying a glaze or slip, which are different from part to part in a piece of ware. For example, some parts are glazed thinly or thickly depending on the shape of the ware. That leads to part-to-part subtle differences in appearance of the clay in a piece of ware.

    The glaze or slip may look like dripping. There is unevenness of a glaze or slip when they are applied to ware by hand. There also appear glaze drips or slip drips, which are caused by the glaze or slip flows during firing.

Materials (Number)

Ceramics are handled differently depending on the material. MARUMITSU POTERIE attaches a material number sticker to ceramic products. Please note the material number when handling the product in order to ensure long use.

    • Overglaze decoration is a technique in which designs are applied to fully fired ware using overglaze paints or decals and then fired at approximately 800°C. This allows for vibrant colors, but since the surface is not coated with glaze, the decoration can be prone to peeling. Please handle with care to ensure long-lasting use.
  • Handling
    • Do not use a dishwasher or dryer.
    • When washing, do not soak. Use a mild detergent and a soft sponge. Scrubbers or abrasive cleaners may cause the decoration to peel.
    • Avoid strong alkaline detergents or chlorine-based bleaches, as they may cause discoloration or deterioration.
    • Be careful when using metal utensils such as knives or forks, as they may scratch or damage the decoration.

"The eye-catching ""Allegro"" bowl features its unique shape and variations of impression seen at different angles. You can easily arrange food in the center, which creates some height. ALLEGRO（アレグロ）は、イタリア語で「陽気な」「快活な」という意味。
心地よい陽の下で両手を広げたような、のびやかで明るい気分を表現したシリーズです。

アレグロの特徴は、鳥が羽を広げたようにも、植物の葉のようにも見える、柔らかなゆらぎ形状。
器そのものに起伏やたわみがあることで、見る角度によって表情が変わり、食卓にさりげない動きを添えてくれます。

盛り付けに生まれる、自然な立体感

アレグロは、料理を盛り付ける面に適度な深さがあり、高さを意識した盛り付けがしやすい器です。料理を中央にふんわりと高さを出して盛り付けると、ゆらぎのある輪郭との相乗効果で、立体感のある美しい一皿に。
